Teleran Announces Support for IBM DB2 9.7 Release

Patented Application Usage Management Software Delivers Performance, Governance and Compliance Policy Enforcement for DB2 Applications

FAIRFIELD, NJ - JULY 14, 2009 - Teleran© Technologies, the leading provider of application usage management software to improve the performance and compliance of business intelligence (BI), data warehouse, and other enterprise applications, today announced support for IBM’s DB2 9.7. Teleran’s products have undergone extensive testing on the latest release of IBM’s market leading database platform. IBM has built into DB2 client messaging capabilities to support Teleran’s expert system-based, real-time messaging that guides application users to interact with DB2 more efficiently and productively.

Teleran’s user and query policy management facility, iGuard, acts like an air traffic controller for analytical and enterprise applications, managing queries and guiding application users in real-time. iGuard policies prevent inappropriate, unauthorized or runaway queries from reaching the database and breaching security and compliance policies, impeding performance and reducing availability. iGuard includes an expert system user messaging capability that guides users in real-time to more efficiently query the database. Companies can choose from over 60 customizable query management policies to protect the database as well as speed query performance and improve user productivity.

Teleran’s suite also includes a network-based auditing system, iSight, which delivers visibility and awareness of how BI and other enterprise application users are interacting with the application and database. iSight provides a simple to use analytical reporting system that speeds performance trouble-shooting, reports on security and compliance policy enforcement, and guides migration and consolidation projects. Because iSight operates independently of the database, it does not add any overhead to the database.
