August 21, 2007 - Teleran© Technologies, the
leading provider of application performance management software
for business intelligence (BI), data warehouse, and other
enterprise applications, today announced the release of its
version 3.3 that delivers critical performance and compliance
capabilities to Business Objects and Cognos customers. Teleran’s
identity persistence capability is the only solution on the market
that captures and then manages queries by the BI application level
user ID that is usually lost to the database because BI
applications log-in to the database with a generic application ID.
Teleran’s
iSight SQL monitor delivers comprehensive usage visibility for
performance management and compliance auditing, combining
knowledge of the BI User, application and database activities in
one unified reporting and analysis facility. Teleran’s iGuard
SQL policy manager guides individual BI users in real-time and
speeds user queries, automatically improving performance and
scalability of BI applications.

Teleran’s Release 3.3 is fully integrated with
BusinessObjects XI and Cognos 8. iGuard SQL policy manager acts as
a predictive database firewall by preventing inappropriate,
unauthorized or runaway BI queries from reaching the database and
impeding performance, reducing availability and breaching security
and compliance policies. Companies can choose from over 60
customizable BI query management policies to protect the database
as well as speed query performance. In addition iGuard includes an
expert system user messaging that guides users directly in their
Business Objects or Cognos application to more efficiently
interact with the database.
Teleran’s suite also includes iSight, a network-based SQL
auditing system. Because iSight operates on the network, it does
not add any overhead to the database. iSight delivers visibility
and awareness of how Business Objects and Cognos BI applications
are performing with the database. It links the BI level user ID
with specific data usage that speeds performance trouble-shooting,
reports on security and compliance policy enforcement, and guides
migration and consolidation projects.
