showcasing its Release 3 at the upcoming Data Warehousing
Institute’s (TDWI) Winter Conference in Las Vegas, Nevada
February 20-21. Teleran’s Release 3, scheduled for release this
month is built for both the high volume demands of OLTP
applications as well as dynamic and unpredictable analytical
applications such as Business Intelligence (BI) and data
warehousing. The company’s award-winning iGuard and iSight
software products improve the performance, availability and
security of business-critical applications for Fortune 1000
companies.

Teleran’s SQL policy management facility, iGuard, acts as a
predictive database firewall by preventing inappropriate,
unauthorized or runaway queries from reaching the database and
impeding performance, reducing availability and breaching security
and compliance policies. Companies can choose from over 60
customizable query management policies to protect the database as
well as speed query performance. Using a patented artificial
intelligence (AI) component, iGuard recommends SQL policies based
on assessing query patterns over time. In addition iGuard includes
an expert system user messaging capability that guides users in
real-time to more efficiently interact with applications and the
database.
Teleran’s suite also includes a network-based SQL auditing
system, iSight, that delivers visibility and awareness of how BI
and other enterprise applications are performing with the
database. Because iSight operates on the network, it does not add
any overhead to the database. iSight provides a simple to use
analytical reporting system that speeds performance
trouble-shooting, reports on security and compliance policy
enforcement, and guides migration and consolidation projects.
