In 1946, RCA and the US
Army Air Force jointly developed a sophisticated RADAR navigation
system called Teleran, a unique combination of technologies which,
for the first time, provided pilots with a visual guidance system
incorporating traffic, route and weather information in a
single, clear television screen on an airplane’s instrument panel.
Through
this process, the original Teleran guided and protected Air Force crews to achieve their strategic objectives and reach their destinations
safely and on time.
The Company's
founders chose the name "Teleran" because Teleran
Technologies, Inc. offers a modern version of a unique combination of patented
technologies that, for the first time, automatically tracks, speeds,
secures and guides growing numbers of information users
as they demand faster, more accurate and lower cost access to
information.
