"Once I identified that new users were the source of the slow-down, I approached our VP of Finance with the Teleran reports. He was pleased that we’d gotten to the source of the problem so quickly and agreed to my recommendations: schedule additional training for the new users and temporarily constrain new users to the training data mart until year-end, allowing Finance to close the books more quickly."

 

An iGuard policy was activated to block new users from the finance tables until year-end. During that time, whenever a new user issued a query, they received a real-time Automated Helpdesk message.
